Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a safe forever home for animals in need. We currently have 28 animals which include horses, pot belly pigs, geese, goats, dogs and cats. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization and we are located in Westville, IN.
Over the years, we have acquired several animals…some were rescued, some were rescued by a friend and others were acquired because they needed a forever place to call home. What started as my mom (Vicki aka Vic) wanting a horse she could ride turned quickly into my parents acquiring a horse in serious need of a safe home. From there, my parents began acquiring horses that were in sad situations and before they knew it they had several. At that time, they had their horses at a friend/neighbor’s property in Valparaiso, IN and as their herd grew, they decided to look for property of their own. IN 2006, they found the property we now call Elsa’s Acres and built their home and barns here. They moved to the property in 2007 along with
We currently have 10 horses (one belongs to a dear friend that boards with us), 5 female Nigerian pygmy goats, 2 potbelly pigs, 2 white geese that we deservingly refer to as the A-holes, 5 cats and 3 dogs. It is a full time job to care for so many animals but we love them all. We also enjoy our wildlife here at the farm which includes several deer that we feed, 2 Sandhill cranes that show up every morning and spend each day in one of the horse pastures, a flock of turkeys that come to visit the animals regularly and on occasion we will see red fox
